The Software Engineering (SE) Research Group at the University of L’Aquila focuses on a wide array of software engineering challenges, ranging from performance and synthesis to architecture and automation. The group consists of a dynamic team of full professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdocs, and PhD students, all contributing to cutting-edge research in collaboration with both academic and industrial partners worldwide.
Key areas of research within the group include:
Led by Prof. Vittorio Cortellessa, the SPENCER Lab specializes in the performance and reliability of software systems, utilizing search-based and automated techniques.
The SoSy Group, led by Prof. Marco Autili and Prof. Massimo Tivoli, conducts research on automated software synthesis, software architectures, and adaptive systems.
FrAmeLab, coordinated by Prof. Henry Muccini, explores the intersection of software architecture with quality assurance, resilience, and green software engineering
Our research group includes:
Vittorio Cortellessa, Davide Di Ruscio, Henry Muccini, Alfonso Pierantonio (coordinator), and Massimo Tivoli
Marco Autili, and Antinisca Di Marco
Juri Di Rocco, Daniele Di Pompeo, Phuong Nguyen, Luca Traini, and Michele Tucci
The group is further supported by postdoctoral researchers and a vibrant PhD community who contribute to diverse national and international research projects like SoBigData.it, RECHARGE, and PNRR initiatives.
With a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration, the Software Engineering group plays an active role in the global research community, pushing the boundaries of what modern software systems can achieve.
